Soft, romantic sunset at Max Patch in Hot Springs, NC
Max Patch is a bald mountain on the North Carolina-Tennessee Border in Madison County, North Carolina and a major landmark along the Tennessee/North Carolina section of the Appalachian Trail. It is known for its 360 degree views of the surrounding mountains, namely the Great Smokies to the south.It affords one a view of the Milky Way and an incredible sunrise or sunset. (weather permitting). We sat arm-in-arm on a blanket in the tall grass and watched the sun as itwaved good evening.
