This is the oldest lighthouses in Maine, built around 1787 for less than $3,000. It is located in Cape Elizabeth, Maine and is free to visit. We visited this lighthouse twice in October of 2020 for sunset and sunrise . We were car camping on a 4,000 mile adventure from South Carolina to the most Northeastern part of the United States, Lubec, Maine to Ohio and home again. We were up at 4:30am every day of the trip and asleep by 9pm. This is one of the most relaxing, scenic spots I have ever had the pleasure to have been.
