Happy Campers

My parents passed a love of camping and the outdoors to me from a young age.  The majority of my adult camping experience has been in a good old fashioned tent!  Waking up to birds chirping and the sun rising while cooking breakfast over the fire next to someone you love madly is just magical. 

I hand wove each camping chair, making 9 in total until I had two I loved.  The chair frame was made by forcing aluminum wire around a hard edged USB key.  The coffee mugs are made from paper, metal and wood glue.  The hotdog and marshmallow were hand shaped from polymer clay.  The logs are branches from my back yard.  The stones are from a nearby church parking lot.  I used fire resistant gel to coat the stones, wood and surface when building this real fire, as not to torch my house!  The tent is made from a North Face jacket I’m going to miss dearly.  The tent screen is made from the lining of that jacket.  The tent stakes are toothpicks.  Ahh, the great outdoors!

Note about paper: 11x14, 16x16 and 18x24 is the outside mat size and size frame you need. If you order any larger size in paper, there is no mat included and the size listed is for the paper.
